Alcohol-Method Concentrated Protein Benchmark Project Takes Global Lead, Chemsta Builds Core Barriers for Grain-and-Oil Equipment Industry
Recently, Chemsta has seen one exciting development after another. First, the high-end protein science and technology industrial park undertaken by Shandong Ronghui Group officially broke ground. Right after that, it showcased its benchmark project at the Annual Academic. Conference of the Oil and Fat Branch of the Chinese Cereals and Oils Association. Not long ago, it also successfully passed the re-review of the Provincial-level Industrial Design Center. Three major industry events took place one after another, continuously releasing the enterprise’s development momentum.
With fifty years of in-depth engagement in plant oil and protein deep-processing equipment, Chemsta focuses on its main business and conducts in-depth research on technologies. It has built a complete and mature system for complete set technology research and development and project implementation. The self-developed complete set equipment for plant oil extraction and protein processing by the enterprise ranks among the world-leading level. Its comprehensive production capacity grain and oil equipment stays among the top three nationwide. Its core alcohol-method concentrated protein technology and equipment hold the top domestic market share in the industry. At present, the enterprise has built the world’s largest single-line complete set production line for food-grade and feed-grade alcohol-method concentrated protein. Its core process technologies and equipment performance fully meet top international standards, leading the track of grain and oil deep-processing equipment.

Global Leadership: Build a New Benchmark for Alcohol-Method Zero-Emission Smart Production
Reporters from Grain and Oil Market News learned that the high-end protein science and technology project of Ronghui Group, located at Jizhou port in Jining, Shandong, relies on the port-adjacent hub strengths. It plans to construct the world-leading alcohol-method zero-emission smart production line. Adopting a brand-new development model of smart manufacturing, green low-carbon operation and full-chain value-added production, it sets a cutting-edge model for transformation, upgrading and high-quality development of China’s grain and oil industry.
As the contractor of this benchmark project, with forward-looking technology layout, solid process accumulation
and exclusive core technical barriers, Chemsta enters four high-value core tracks: high-end protein, functional healthy oil, bio-fermented protein and non-GMO soybean deep processing. Upon completion and operation, the project can produce 14 types of high-end grain and oil deep-processed products on a large scale. Among them, high-purity concentrated protein, small-molecule fermented peptide protein and gradient high-protein soybean meal will become three core major products, fully unlocking industrial value-added potential.
From August 22 to 23, the 35th Annual Academic Conference and Product Exhibition of the Oil and Fat Branch of the Chinese Cereals and Oils Association was grandly held in Wuzhong, Ningxia. More than 600 scientific research experts, leading enterprise representatives and industry elites from the national grain and oil sector gathered to discuss new industrial development. During the exhibition, industry leaders at all levels and senior experts visited and guided Chemsta’s booth. They highly recognized the enterprise’s technical achievements and project strengths. Chemsta’s team carried out in-depth communication and discussion with industry peers. They exchanged experience and shared insights on core industry topics such as grain and oil processing process optimization, smart factory construction and production energy-saving and carbon reduction, reaching consensus on green and smart transformation of the grain and oil industry.
At this grand event, Chemsta presented the benchmark project of 1.05 million tons per year soybean supporting 100,000 tons per year alcohol-method concentrated protein. This project breaks the traditional extensive soybean processing mode that only produces basic oil and meal. It drives grain and oil industry chain to transform and upgrade from selling low-end bulk commodities to intelligent manufacturing of high value-added functional protein, realizing dual upgrading of industrial chain and value chain.
For this project, Chemsta innovatively built the world-leading alcohol-method zero-emission smart production line. It abandons the traditional high-temperature extensive processing technology, and integrates multiple core innovative technologies including low-temperature alcohol extraction, bio-fermentation, intelligent management and control and full resource utilization of by-products. Supported by the full-process digital flexible production system, the production line can stably output standardized high-quality products. Meanwhile, it can conduct customized research and production of various functional protein products according to market demands, to satisfy diversified market requirements.

At the same time, the large-scale oil pressing production line project with a daily processing capacity of 5,000 tons, jointly developed by Chemsta and Lurgi Group, is steadily moving forward. Targeting common industry technical pain point including system matching of large-capacity production lines, efficient solvent recovery and long-term stable equipment operation, the two parties integrate decades-long process R&D accumulation and practical project operation experience. They conduct in-depth optimization and upgrading of the whole process chain including pretreatment, extraction processing, solvent recovery and cascaded utilization of waste heat. It effectively improves oil extraction reversion rate, and cuts down solvent loss and production energy consumption. The project is equipped with intelligent process control, double safe interlock systems. It balances product quality, production efficiency, work safety and environmental protection, striving to build a benchmark for large-tonnage grain and oil complete-set projects.
Strength Recognition: Integrated Innovation System Wins Provincial-Level Authoritative Approval Again
Recently, the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Shandong Province published the re-review results of Provincial-level Industrial Design Centers. Chemsta’s Provincial-level Industrial Design Center successfully passed the re-review. This marks another authoritative recognition from provincial competent authorities for the enterprise’s industrial design innovation capacity, high-end R&D platform construction outcomes and overall innovation strength.
As a national-level high-tech enterprise and national-level Specialized, Refined, Distinctive and Innovative “Little Giant” enterprise, Chemsta keeps promoting the construction of innovation platforms. It has built 5 provincial-level R&D platforms: Shandong Engineering Research Center for Plant Oil and Protein Deep-Processing Technology and Equipment, Shandong Enterprise Technology Center, Shandong “One Enterprise, One Technology” R&D Center, Shandong Economy Industry Innovation Center and Shandong Industrial Design Center. It forms a multi-level, all-round and integrated technical innovation system, providing solid support for technology iteration, product upgrading and achievement transformation.
The successfully re-review fully proves Chemsta’s innovation achievements and comprehensive R&D strength. Going forward, Chemsta will fully leverage the efficiency of the Provincial-level Industrial Design Center platform. It empowers iteration and upgrading of grain and oil complete-set equipment with high-end industrial design, accelerates the industrialized application of cutting-edge core technical achievements. It will keep focusing on the main business of high-end grain and oil deep-processing equipment, and drive high-quality development of China’s grain and oil manufacturing industry with scientific and technological innovation.
