Big news! Chemsta, a leading equipment manufacturing enterprise, has won the Special Award of the 13th Dabei Nong Science and Tech Award for participating in a remarkable project!
On April 19, the 13th Dabei Nong Science and Technology Awards Ceremony and the Zhongguancun Global Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation Forum were held in Beijing. With nearly 800 industry experts, leaders, and representatives from government and enterprises in attendance, it was a major event for agricultural innovation. Chemsta collaborated with the Institute of Food Science and Technology of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Northeast Agricultural University, and companies like Shandong Yuwang and Shandong Wonderfull. Together, we completed the “Key Technologies and Applications for High-value Soy Protein Processing” project, which earned us the top honor thanks to our contributions to the soy protein field.
The soy protein industry is vital for domestic soybean development but faces challenges: overcapacity, cut-throat competition, and low-value growth. Issues like low-tech equipment, lack of high-quality protein, and underutilization of by-products have held it back. Over 10 years, led by Wang Fengzhong’s team from the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, we made breakthroughs. We unlocked the secrets of soy protein functionality, innovated production methods, and developed high-value products. As an equipment expert, Chemsta created and integrated core machinery and production lines, making the most of by-products. Our tech has been adopted by 8 companies, leading to 10 new soy protein production lines. This has extended the industry chain, increased value, and boosted China’s global competitiveness in soy protein. From 2020-2022, it brought in 5.207 billion yuan in extra sales, 631 million yuan in profits, and increased farmers’ income by 86.1068 million yuan.
So far, Chemsta has built 7 food-grade soy protein concentrate lines (200,000 tons/year) and 6 feed-grade lines (400,000 tons/year). Moving forward, Chemsta will stay at the forefront of innovation and quality manufacturing. We’ll integrate cutting-edge technology with the real economy, constantly driving new growth in the refined processing of plant oil and protein!
